UPDATE 9/04/21
Based on government guidance issued regarding the new ROAD MAP and information from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, we can confirm that our auctions will open to the public from Monday 12th April.
We will continue to provide Probate and Valuations for sale purposes as well as offering a contactless click and collect after auction service. Please email or call if you require any further information or an appointment for viewing and valuation.

UPDATE 2nd December 2020
In line with the recent Government announcement Boldon Auction Galleries are pleased to re-open once again to the public from Wednesday 2nd December 2020.
We also want to thank all our clients who supported us when we moved our Auctions online during the Lockdown in November – your support is much appreciated.

UPDATE 19/11/20
To comply with the requirements of the national lockdown from Thursday 5th November, our Auctions will be taking place online only and we will be closed to the Public.
You can view the next Auction (25th November from 10am) online as usual from Friday 20th November at 5pm.
You can continue to bid with us live online with internet bidding, submit a commission bid or bid by telephone.
We will hold contactless collections for purchased lots on Thursday 26th November 9am-5pm, Friday 27th November 9am-5pm and Saturday 28th November 10am-1pm. Please note that you must have arranged a time for collection with us to ensure we adhere with the Covid 19 health and safety policy in place. (Please note at this time we are unable to assist customers to lift goods into vehicles).
All payments can be made online by bank transfer or debit card. Our bank details are on our website and invoices. We are not able to take cash payments at this time.

New update 23/09/20
Dear customers,
In line with the recent announcements from the UK Government regarding Covid-19, Boldon Auction Galleries have generated a list of do’s and don’ts when entering and exiting the building.
Do book to attend the sale, book to attend Tuesday viewing, book appointments for valuations on non-open valuation days.
Do sanitise hands with the provided hand sanitiser on entry to the building.
Do wear a mask at all times.
Do use the QR Code on entry or leave details in track and trace book.
Do stay with all members of the group you entered the saleroom with at all times.
Do remain a safe 2 metre distance from all staff and customers who are not part of your group.
Do avoid lingering around lots when viewing, aim to complete viewing in 15 minutes on Saturdays; customers requiring longer should book an appointment for Tuesday viewing.
Do follow the one-way system, staff are available to give guidance on this.
Do maintain a safe two metre distance when sitting/standing during the sale.
Do sanitise hands with provided hand sanitiser when exiting the building.
Do not enter the building with people from outside of your own household.
Do not approach other customers or staff within a two-metre distance.
New update 17/09/20
In light of the recent changes regarding COVID-19 social distancing measures, Boldon Auctions would like to ask all customers to please ensure they have read and have a clear understanding of the rules of entry and the social distancing measures we have in place. We can confirm that we are still open and all of our services are unaffected.
New Update 23/07/20
With the new mandatory regulations for wearing masks offering added safety to our customers, Boldon Auction Galleries have decided to relax the restrictions on our Saturday morning viewings. Customers will no longer be required to view by appointment and are now invited to view via drop in from 10am until 1pm on Saturday viewings only. We will still aim to have no more than 20 people viewing per hour so queuing may be necessary.
New Update 20/07/20
Following the latest updated advice from the Government it will be mandatory for all customers to wear face masks when entering the building. The changes will take effect from Friday 24th July.
New Update 15/06/20
Following the latest updated advice from the Government there will be significant changes to the way in which our Saleroom operates, and we ask that you read the guidance below before visiting to ensure you know what to expect.
Our members of staff are on hand during viewing in the saleroom to help with enquiries about the sale and specific lots. Please note that when handling any item at the view you do so at your own risk, we would recommend using gloves.
We have carried out a Covid-19 risk assessment and shared the results with our team at Boldon Auction Galleries.
We have cleaning, hand washing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance.
We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the saleroom.
Where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risk.
The health and safety of our employees and clients is our priority. We ask customers to respect the working space of our team and maintain a 2-metre distance.
We urge all customers to follow advice on handwashing by using the facilities and hand gel provided and recommend wearing gloves when handling items during viewing.
