how to sell
We offer fortnightly appointments and drop in sessions where you can have your items valued for free. Please see our calendar for available dates. You can call us on 0191 5372630 or go to your online account to book your slot.
Or send some photos of your items by email to info@boldonauctions.co.uk please send grouped photos rather than lots of individual photos and only one photo of the front of a piece of furniture is more than enough.
To see the type of items we accept take a look at our Departments and Past Sales pages.
We make the process simple and easy, if you’re happy with your valuation we keep your items, catalogue and photograph each lot and then email a pre-sale advice with all this information for your records. We work for you to achieve the best possible auction price, you will then be sent a post-sale advice with the results. Payment is made approximately two weeks post sale straight into your bank account.
For terms and conditions, fees and packing tips please see below.
Selling Fees
Our vendor commission rates are 20% of the hammer price plus £5.00 lotting fee, this includes commission, insurance, photography, cataloguing and marketing on our online website and selling platform. All our charges are subject to VAT.
Contract & Receipt: Upon consigning items, you will receive a receipt listing your items by email, which serves as your record and contract with Boldon Auction Galleries.

Where a seller is ’unknown’ at their stated address and correspondence is returned to the Auctioneers offices, Boldon Auction Galleries reserve the right to offer their goods for sale without reserve to be sold to the highest bidder after a period of 90 days from the date of the initial posting. Any monies realised will be held by Boldon Auction Galleries, until claimed by the seller. The Auctioneer reserves the right to deduct commission and expenses.
